Towage and delivery of newbuild vessels
Plan the delivery of a newbuild vessel or hull by tow. We review departure and receiving facilities, delivery dates, vessel condition and towing arrangements with the parties involved.

Scope of support
- We coordinate departure and delivery arrangements with the shipyard, owner and destination contacts.
- We bring together tug sourcing, vessel-condition information and towing-connection details for the project review.
- We align the operational scope, responsibilities and handover arrangements with the parties involved.
Planning a tow in Türkiye (Turkey), the Black Sea (Karadeniz) or the Sea of Marmara? Lion Offshore reviews tugboat charter and sea towage enquiries against the route, the tow and the operating window.

Questions before your enquiry
What to prepare for your enquiry
Give departure, destination, dates, intermediate calls, access restrictions, local contacts and any fixed delivery deadline. Identify planned Turkish Straits passages for Türkiye, Black Sea or Marmara routes. Share vessel name/IMO where applicable, length overall, beam, forward/aft draft and laden or ballast condition. Explain propulsion, steering, damage and available towing connections; photos and a technical sheet can follow. The responsible parties assess the tug, towing arrangement, route, weather window and permissions for the project. Missing measurements may follow; distinguish estimates from verified measurements and state what needs confirmation.
How is mobilisation planned?
Mobilisation depends on the location, dates, scope and available resources. The team reviews these details with you before confirming an arrangement.
How are responsibilities agreed?
The scope, participating parties and their responsibilities are agreed for each project. Describe the support you need so these can be clarified in the quotation.
Can I enquire with incomplete information?
Vessel, location, dates, measurements and a technical attachment are optional. Share what you know; our team can clarify the rest.
Prepare your enquiry
Route and the tow’s condition matter as much as the tug. This checklist supports an initial discussion; it is not a towing plan or technical approval.
